My real name is Emma Taylor, I'm 23 year old who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Fiction writing. I worked many, many hours a week for six months and then went traveling fully intending to be a tourist for a few months and then go home and get a "real" job. Instead I wound up in an Earthquake Zone in Pisco, Peru where I lived and worked for almost nine months. I'm now planning to spend the next few years doing the same kind of work worldwide with a new organisation I'm setting up with a few other long term volunteers: European Disaster Volunteers. It's been an adventure, and it isn't over yet.
